Language. It’s about more than reading words on a page, deciphering declensions or memorising vocabulary. It’s exciting. Alive. It has the power to move you. To take you places. To broaden your horizons. When you learn a new language you open up to a world of new possibilities.
Because amazing things happen when you speak.
At Speak, language learning comes to life. We help you learn languages so that you can use them in the real world. We make it fun. We make it different.
With tailored programmes, engaging learning materials and exciting lessons taught by passionate, talented people.
So if you want to speak a new language, speak to us.
With over 15 years’ experience of teaching adults and children of all ages, Speak is the home of language learning.
Whether it’s an intensive course or more relaxed regular lessons, we help you learn at times to suit you – either in groups, individually, at home, in your offices or online. After all, learning shouldn’t feel like a chore!
Our lessons are tailored to your individual needs, so you get more out of your learning.
So what languages would you love to speak?
Would you rather learn in the comfort of your own home or office? Then one-to-one learning is the option for you.
We’ll visit you at the place that’s easiest for you, at a time that’s best for you – or we can arrange for one-to-one lessons online. After all, we realise your time is precious.
Before we start, we’ll talk to you about what you would like to get out of your language learning. We’ll see what your needs are, and then we’ll create a tailored programme that’s unique to you.
When you learn one-to-one, you’ll:
The word “lessons” might conjure up images of dusty classrooms where only the teacher talks, but that’s not the Speak way.
Whether it’s a course for work or your own personal interest, get in touch with us. We’ll talk to you about what you want to get out of your language learning. We’ll see what your current needs are, and then we’ll find a group session that’s right for you. Or we’ll set up a group within your workplace.
With group lessons, you’ll:
It’s amazing what learning a language can do for your employees. It’s a benefit they’ll appreciate (which will make them happier at work, as well as more likely to stay with you). They’ll get to meet other colleagues, build their confidence – and gain a valuable new skill in learning a new language.
Of course, it’s not just about employee wellbeing. The benefits of having a multilingual workforce are great for you too. For instance, did you know that companies that invest in learning outperform the market by more than 45%?
A typical language learning group course lasts for a minimum of 5 weeks. If employees are self-funding their course, fees are £75 per person. The maximum number of participants per group is 5. Naturally, we can arrange for corporate rates if you are funding the course.
We will visit your offices at a time that suits you, and will supply all teaching materials. We’re also fully insured to teach at your premises. All you need to arrange is a room where the group can study.
We have been helping young people to prepare for GCSE, AS and A-level examinations since 2001.
We understand the pressures that young students face at school and the importance of these exams for their future (after all, even we were young once). That’s why we offer after-school tuition or intensive one-to-one holiday courses at the student’s home – creating a relaxed environment.
But before any tuition begins, we offer a current level assessment and a consultation to see what level they’re already at.
Because many teens don’t get enough active speaking and writing practice time at school, we offer bespoke one-to-one courses that enable them to actively practise these skills, as well as their listening and reading skills.
We also fine-tune their individual learning style to help them develop effective learning and exam preparation strategies.
The results speak for themselves. We’re proud to have a 100% pass rate, with every student achieving at least a B grade.
We’ve been helping primary school children learn new languages since 2006. After all, you’re never too young to fall in love with language.
Working closely with Westminster and Tower Hamlets Councils, we’ve developed unique insights into all the challenges faced by children (and their teachers) when it comes to language learning. Every teacher and child is different – so we offer bespoke solutions for every school we work with. We:
As well as ‘traditional’ teaching, we organise language events for children with an emphasis on fun and creativity. These include specialised cross-curricular language programmes combining languages with learning about nutrition and physical education programmes.
And we have created exciting programmes that combine languages and Feldenkrais where children learn though play, movement, and objects.
Book lovers, culture junkies, musicians, writers… Our teachers are as individual as our clients. Naturally, they’re fully qualified language teachers – and they receive more training when they join us. But they also bring something more to teaching – fun, excitement and their love of languages.
